Hi Linda,
I ordered your Limpet Saddle Pad back in October and didn't get around to using it until today.
It is really nice! Completely eliminated slipping, which was a big problem for me and my mare's particular type of girth. My mare moved out very relaxed and comfortable. My trainer even commented on it.
I did not know whether you sold many Limpet Saddle Pads to walking horse people, so I wanted to share my experience with you. I think a lot of folks from my barn will want to purchase one. Thanks so much for such a nice product. I plan to order a second pad. Thanks again!

"I enjoy a good challenging ride, some would say extreme. I've ridden the mountain trails in Colorado, New Mexico, and Montana, as well as the ridges of Medora National Park in South Dakota.
Before each ride, I searched for a better Saddle Pad to purchase. I was trying to find a Saddle Pad that would help my horse carry my favorite saddle. My horse is narrow at the withers and my saddle, although comfortable fitting for me, rides up or moves back on him. I needed a Saddle Pad that would stay in position without having to be cinched up so tight. My horse has had some back problems (gimpy) and I wanted to protect his back from concussion. Linda, owner of Horsing Around, and I did a little horse dealing over pads.
In June 2005, I rode in Mount Rushmore Park using the Anti-Slip Limpet Saddle Pad. My wife, Karen, and I rode for several days in the rugged, steep, and often dangerous terrain. The Saddle Pad performed every bit the way Horsing Around proclaimed! I followed the instructions provided in the packaging, and its performance was fantastic. The Limpet pad is definitely an anti-slip Saddle Pad. It provided a comfortable therapeutic experience for both of us. My horse moved freely and was quick to respond. There was no lateral, forward, or backward shifting. My saddle and the Limpet Saddle Pad formed a bond and stayed in place. I felt my horse enjoyed the challenges as much as I did."

"The pad is definitely anti-slip! I have difficulty getting up on my 16.2 hand national show horse because of the extra weight I carry and my horse's conformation. My saddle wants to slip laterally when I step into the stirrup. Often I would need someone to put weight on the other stirrup or I need to look for some sort of a step up -- picnic tables are not always available :) I trail ride a lot and I can't always find a stump to stand on. I get embarrassed having to ask for help.
The Limpet works for me. I don't have to be in a big hurry now, and it is much safer. My stirrup is pretty high up for my short legs, and it takes some timely coordination to gather up the stirrup, reigns, and grab the main when I mount or dismount. The Limpet allows me to have better control, my saddle and pad stay in place and I feel safer.
Finally, there is a Saddle Pad that has benefits for both the rider and the horse!"
